Braulio has spent years refining this technique and has been able to utilize it successfully at the highest levels of competition.  Through constant innovation and drilling he has learned every reaction his opponent gives him when threatening the Estima Lock and has developed a game off of it. 

Braulio has a very methodical approach to BJJ.  He has consistently been able to do things different and make them work.  First it was his unorthodox inverted triangle that he was able to submit Andre Galvao with, next it was his deadly toe hold and Estima Locks.
